Request for Qualifications and Proposals For Last Chance Road and Camp Skylark Forest Health Projects RPF Technical Assistance

Please see the Request for Proposals for Registered Professional Forester support for Last Chance Road and Camp Skylark Forest Health Projects RPF Technical Assistance. The Resource Conservation District of Santa Cruz County (RCD) is seeking Registered Professional Forester (RPF) services to support the permitting of the “Last Chance Road Forest Health Project” and the “Camp Skylark Forest Health Project,” two high-priority fuel reduction treatment projects on private land in the coastal zone of northern Santa Cruz County for improving forest health.


The RCD seeks qualified RPF services to provide professional and technical expertise related to the planning and permitting of these two projects, through finalizing the treatment prescription for both the Last Chance Road and Camp Skylark Forest Health projects. The anticipated tasks from the RPF are:

1.       Provide technical expertise and guidance to ensure the most appropriate prescription is being utilized
2.       Complete necessary archeological surveys
3.       Review permit documents (Cal VTP PSA and Coastal Vegetation Treatment Standards)
4.       Support contractor bidding and selection

Please note that the RCD will be contracting a separate professional consultant to lead development of the permit application documents (Cal VTP PSA and Coastal Vegetation Treatment Standards) for both projects.
