Water Supply for Creekside Residents

Do you get your water from a creek or well? Is your water supply reliable? Unsure about your water rights? Concerned about low stream levels? This meeting is for you.

Join the Resource Conservtion District and Trout Unlimited for an informational workshop for creekside residents in the Soquel Creek Watershed. The discussion will include the general state of Soquel Creek Watershed, understanding your water rights for creekside property owners, and ideas on making your water supply more secure.

Light snacks and drinks will be provided.

The Resource Conservation District of Santa Cruz County is a non-regulatory public agency.

Hedgerows and Soil Health Field Day

Healthy Soils Demonstration Project at Live Earth Farm (Green Valley and Wheelock Rd in Watsonville, CA)

Join us for this free workshop and meet fellow growers and technical experts to learn about and share your experience on:

  • Uses and benefits of hedgerows at Live Earth Farm’s 45-acre organic multi-crop operation
  • Soil-related benefits of hedgerows
  • Considerations for selecting plants and managing a hedgerow
  • Practical demonstration of a hedgerow planting

The 2017 Healthy Soils Demonstration Project is funded by Greenhouse Gas Reduction Funds and is part of California Climate Investments, a statewide program that puts billions of Cap-and-Trade dollars to work reducing GHG emissions, strengthening the economy, and improving public health and the environment.
