The Resource Conservation District of Santa Cruz County (RCDSCC) offers a variety of services tailored to address local natural resource issues while balancing the environmental and economic needs of our community. Our local partnership with the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) includes assistance to farmers, ranchers (including horse owners) and others that own, operate, live or make land-use decisions on farms, ranches, and other private properties in Santa Cruz County. In addition, we support local units of government, organizations, watershed and landowner groups including road and homeowner associations, educators, students, private sector natural resource professionals and contractors, and the general tax-paying public. Services include:
- Natural resource management advice
- General resource conservation information
- Workshops and hands-on trainings
- Cost-share funding
- Project permitting assistance
- Specific data and/or guidance for conservation projects
